Hilpipre Auction Co., as it's known today, was founded by Mr. Merv Hilpipre. He started the company over 45 years ago. The family's auction tradition started in 1917 with the late C.A. Hilpipre, Merv's father.

Merv Hilpipre was born with the passion to be a world class auctioneer. Watching his father conduct auctions developed his yearning to own his own company and to be the best. He started the company with nothing, and has built one of the finest auction companies in the land. Over the company's history, Hilpipre has conducted nearly 4,000 auctions. The company has always specialized within the industrial and construction equipment fields. Throughout its history, Hilpipre Auction Co. has provided its services to many different types of commercial businesses.

Hilpipre Auction Co. conducts auctions throughout the United States. It's conducted auctions which have required six days to complete. The company is recognized for its professionalism, speed of sale, and achieving top value for the assets sold.

Corporate headquarters, with a permanent auction facility, are based in Waterloo, Iowa. This allows your assets to be sold at your company's location or brought to our auction facility. An in-house mailing list is maintained.
